New to JVC!

Welcome to our church

If you are visiting this page, its likely you are thinking of attending JVC for the first time. With this in mind, we’ve compiled a few things you should know in order to make your first visit less daunting.

meet our welcome team

We have a Welcome Team dedicated to ensuring that you have everything you need when you visit with us. These team members wear purple ‘How can I help’ T-shirts and are based in the foyer and main church before the start of every service. You will be met by a member of this team at the front door and if you need assistance or have any other queries, please just ask them.

Times

Our Sunday services start at 10.30am. There is also a pre-service prayer meeting that is held in room 1 that starts at 9:45am and last around 30 mins. Our Wednesday evening service begins at 8.00 pm and again we would recommend that you arrive early and take some time for a tea/coffee and a chat before the service begins. The coffee shop closes 10 minutes before services start.

Coffee & Fellowship

Come early and enjoy coffee, tea, and treats in a warm, welcoming space where friendships grow and fellowship begins.
Our doors open an hour before each service — on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings — giving you time to relax, connect, and prepare your heart for worship.
Whether you’re meeting new faces, catching up with friends, or simply taking a quiet moment, it’s the perfect way to start your time with the JVC family in community and conversation.

Child care

We provide crèche facilities during our Sunday service (11:00 am to 12.15 pm approximately) for children aged 2 to 5. Your child will be allocated a number that will be displayed on the main auditorium screen should they need your attention while you are in the service.

There is also Kid’s Church for children aged between 6-8 and 9-11.

A parent and baby room is also available for children under 2 years old with the facility to watch and listen to the service.

Church is who we are, not where we go.
